I did a search and didn't really find anything for my situation. I wanna put a 400hp small block in my daily driver. Use 93 oct., but nothing race ready. I would like to install a "sniper" from Nos that puts out anywhere from 50 to 150. Without going nuts with performance parts or melting the engine because the lack of, what do you suggest. I have a stock block 350 with four bolt mains. Willing to change the intake (would like a shiney chrome one), cam and carb. I don't know the compression ratio (came that way), but it doesn't like low oct fuel. I wanna add 125hp to play with some vettes without having to pull the engine and Ka-ching the machine shop. Tell Mike not to chew on my azz cause I don't know what the cam, pistons and head cc's are. I just wanna play without spending mega bucks. Thanks in avance...........Ron

Hey Ron, I think that you will be safe with a 100-125 hp plate set up. Just make sure your fuel system is up to snuff so you don't lean out and melt something...

Also your ignition timing will have to be adjusted accordingly depending upon how much of a 'hit' you are going to have.

What intake do you have on the red beast?
