I just bought a 62 Nova Convertible. There is not a top on it right now. The guy I bought it form lost many of the parts in his divorce. Anyway Im trying to figure out what I am missing.
How does the Vinyl attach to the body at the back window/Trunk area?
Any pics of the top, and the area that the top retracts into would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

I put the top on my 63 about 5 or 6 years ago. It's time consuming to get it to fit right but if you take your time and work carefully you should be able to do it. I read a couple of magazine articles first. There is a lot of trial fitting to get the top stretched tight enough to look right when you're done.
The top fabric staples to tack strips that bolt to the inside of the body. if I remember right , there are either 2 or 3 pieces. Keep track of which bolts go where for these strips because some are different lengths and too long a bolt can put a dent in the body from the inside. (Don't ask me how I know this, LOL).
I'll have to look and see if I have any pics of these parts. Also I forgot that the fabric top well staples to these strips also which complicates things.
I think there are some good auto upholstery books out there that will also help.
