first gen bucket seats question

just got a pair of first gen bucket seats, wondering if the chrome goes toward the door, or toward the center.. thanks Tom

thats what i figured, but i saw a picture of someones car on here and the chrome was facing inside??

I know a guy who was lucky enough to find a second set and now has chrome on the inside of his seats,too, so it's possible. Would have been nice if they'd come that way from the factory.
