Here's some pics I dug up of an original 67 SS 4 Speed.

These were taken a number of years ago. The car had sat here for some time (as you can tell). A friend of mine ended up talking the owner into selling it. As I recall her husband had died and thats why it sat so long.
She said her husband took the passenger seat & console out because he drove to work with a very large man... large enough that he filled the back seat. It was too difficult to get into with the seat in place.
My friend found the seat in the barn. He ended up restoring it. Did it black with black interior and sold it at Goodguys (Kansas Speedway) in, I think 2002 or 2003. Enjoy!

MAN ! Is that an 8 track under the dash ??
Don't know what your friend paid for it,,but I bet the rear SS trunk lid panel would cover the cost:rolleyes:

Ever notice the TRUE original v8 cars have a radiator spacer on the core support??:yes:Quess these things are not repoped:confused:

A 283 2 barrel with a 4 speed?? Bet she got 20 MPG:eek:

Wonder if she'd get second gear rubber:devil: oh, sorry:o the kid in me ya know:D

I dont remember how much he paid (I'll ask him next time I see him) but I'm sure it wasnt too much (he's frugal).
All the original and legitimate V8 cars I've seen do have that spacer.
I dont know if they're available as a repop or not.
Notice the park brake handle is broken... I've seen a number of 66-67s like this.... When mine broke I installed a 65! Much sturdier.:D

FYI, Not all V8 cars had them. L-79's did'nt as well as any V8 that was ordered with the HD radiator.

So I'm guessing it needed new rear springs and back seat...:D
