Hi gang,
I plan on replacing the bench in my '69 Nova with buckets. The bench is in perfect condition - no rips or tears in the black basketweave vinyl and the frame has NO rust (amazing!). No broken springs, adjuster works perfect. It comes out of a car with 71K original miles.
I've been offered $150 for the seat. Does this sound fair? What should I ask? I just want to find out a fair price and see a good used part be put back to good use and not sit in my garage.

Cool, a couple of people looked at this but no votes.

I dont know if that is a good price or not but for people trying to do an original style restoration these are hard to find. Lots of bench seats were pulled back in the day for bucket seats and people now are having a hard time going in the other direction. The real problem with them is that they are REALLY bulky and are difficult and expensive to ship so having someone in your area that wants it is a big plus.

Yeah, I hear you on the bulky part. It was a PITA to take out of the car alone.

I put a reupholstered 70 set (black vinyl) on eBay 3 years ago. Nice MINT front and back. Tracks were good, adjustment knob missing, headrests there.
A full front and back SET.
Auction did 410.00.
And I was willing to meet the guy at a mid-point somewhere to help
the shipping end of it. 100 miles.
So- My take is- That ORIGINAL bench seat MIGHT be worth more than 150.

Yeah it is. Too bad it doesn't work for me or I'd keep it. I'm 6'6" tall, and the bench just sits too high/too close to the steering wheel. I'm putting buckets in and I'll weld up some seat brakets to make them sit low and locate the seats back further.

Alright guys, thanks for the help. I'm going to sell it for $150 and be happy it's out of my garage!
