I have a 74 Nova, four door sedan, with the 350 2 bbl V8 that I am lookin to sell. I am having a hard time figuring out a good starting price. It has little to no rust although there are some cometic defects. It is completely stock, excpet for an aftermarket CD player. It has about 125,000 miles. So far most other 74 Nova's that I have looked into all had modifications and are selling for alot or are really beat up and selling for very little.
Any suggestions, offers, or insight are welcome.

wow, $3,000 for a four dour...hmm i'm skeptical but who knows, i'm a picky guy i guess, back when i got my new job(this was 3 years ago by the way) i wanted a new car, i saw a ...70-72 four door, i was almost in love, pea green, all stock, 307 2bbl i believe, might of had a repaint, very little rust...i saw it and had visions of copo dog dishes wheel covers and a hopped up motor giving, total sleeper package to me, i believe they wanted 2,500 or 3,000, i think i looked at it like 5 times, anyways, i've got a 74 custom two door, rust.... needs total restoration, i think the problem with our 73's and 74's is the restyling of the bumpers grilles etc.., even the windshield and back glass are all different from what i've heard/researched...no one makes a replacement full quarter for our 73/74's even i don't think, i in fact did the 68-72 front end swap on mine and got rid of the 74's grille, right now i'm watching a 69 four door on ebay, it reminds me of that 4 door that i almost bought,
considering the day and age man, ask for $3,000, i hope you get it, but around here, southwest indiana/western kentucky i'd kinda be surprised but again, condition, rarity, etc..i could see it selling,
another story, their was a 70 2 door ORANGE....nova for sale, right down from my work, has been sitting there for like 8 days, restoration started...front end all stripped apart basically, SOLD written across the windshield but i new the guy that got it from the orignal or like second owner, he lucked out...got it for like...2,000 or 1500.. running and everything, the guy that was the original owner or second owner even had an am/fm tape deck installed by a GM dealer in the 80's...how weird is that..and the nova was ORANGE..like hugger orange i'd say, original color i'm almost positive, when he told me he got..and running at that for 1,500 or 2,000..yeah i was mad jealous, a 70 hugger orange nova..to me at least is pretty rare...i've seen maybe..5....and they were all drag cars/clones/yenko's/or in magazines, anyways i talked to the guy that was selling it this time around after it's had the front end all stripped apart, with weld draglites, and after it's sold, i think it had gone through one or two other people before this guy got it, he was selling it like that, with everythign to put it back together, with a 454 for 5,500 asking price, he said whoever bought it didn't want that motor so i'm not sure how much he got for it, maybe 3,000, but stripped apart like that..??? i dunno, the new owner was supposed to pick it up this afternoon, i hope he's succesfull with his new basket case!!

I paid 1250 CDN(when the dollar wasn't worth anything) for a 74 2door SS. Rough body(looked solid when purchased) and almost no floor pan rust. Interior was rough but mostly complete.
