I have stock 15 inch wheels on my nova but the guy I bought the car from had put three different sizes on the car to sell it. What is a typical size tire for a 15" rim on a 70 nova? Also I'm kind of looking for a sporty look not sure if that would change the tire size I'm looking for or not. Can someone post pics of your car and tire sizes.

I am running 215/65/15. They don't have the width that some people want, but still look nice on the car.

I chose this size as I have 3.08 rear gears and can't afford to change them.

The tires are only about 26" tall and enhance the low end performance.

Search for the Miata tire comparison website and you can imput different sizes for comparison.

I don't think any Nova's came with 15's from the factory, so there is no "typical" size. Some like em tall and skinny; some short and fat; some a little of each.
On my 15x7's I run 205/60's in front(kinda short) and 275/60's in rear(very tight on most cars). A 225 or 235 is probably your safest bet.

the front of my car has 215/65R15 and the rear has 215/70R15 what is the big differance between these two sizes b/c visually There isn't much of a differance and I was hoping to get a more sportier stance.

Open this website; plug in the size of your front and rear tires, and you can see any differences.

I got this Pm from a buddy of mine tonight. "I do have access to 225/70/15 v rated PV41 cop Firestones and should fit 7s great. I can maybe hook you up, but they are pricey tires for the size, but very high technology performance tires.

Does anybody know anything about this tire or is that a decent size for my car?

They are pretty tall; I had some on the front of mine for a short time--couldn't turn to full lock without rubbing, and I hated the way they looked.

Her's my '69 with 215/60x15's on the front, and 235/60x15's on the back. All wheels have 3 3/4" backspace.

What kind of wheels do you have...width and back spacing..?? The type of wheel will impact your tire choices.
