Ok......I have been having thoughts about possibly getting rid of my Nova and picking up something that is already running, drivable and a lot less of a project.

I am looking for a ballpark estimate of what I could get for the car as it stands right now.....here are just a few of the things I have on the car (and the copious amounts of spare parts, trim, etc I have for it)
1. Bought the car for $2800
2. Painted it for $2500
3. Engine alone is worth about $3000 (350 .30 over, all lightweight components, Dart 180 heads, Dart High Rise single plane Manifold)
4. NO2 Nitrous kit $500
5. Wheels and tires $ 1000
6. Strange Aluminum Center Section, 4.11 gearing, Moser axles $2000
7. 4 Link setup and rear frame $1500
8. Jegs Aluminum Interior Kit $500
9. EzWire Wiring Harness $300
10. Billet Grille, New Chrome front and rear bumpers $1000

The car still needs to have the rest of the Roll Cage welded in, and the Jegs Aluminum interior kit, tubs, and floors installed, wiring done, and then an engine dropped in along with tranny and drive shaft.....still a bit of work left to do.

Here are some pictures:

So what do you think she is all worth....I am thinking about selling it out right or maybe even trade her out with something else.....

Thanks guys!

Ok, I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't already suspect, But the way it sits there it probably won't bring much over half of the $14,600.00 you have in it roughly, I'd say maybe $8,000 to 9,000 possibly a little more, I think your best bet would be to get it together and maybe not complete but running and driving and maybe you'd get at least what you have in it? Hate to see you sell it as it is looking bada$$

bring it back to texas and I'll help you get it running and I bet once you can drive it you wont want to sell it...or you could trade it to me!!!!

IMO though, probably like what fastone said, as is right now less than 10K...

Tony,

The major things that need to get finished up are:

1. Finish welding roll cage
2. Install the Jeg's aluminum interior
3. get a tranny (probably either a powerglide or th350)
4. wire the car
5. brakes for the ford 9incher....

If you want to help (and I still have the car)...Ill supply the beer!

Don't sell your project car, unless finances and life situation demand it. If you do, you will regret it, no matter what. I can't even count how many times I've heard "I wish I wouldn'a sold that car!"

See it through.

Ok Ok.....I get the point......

This came about because a buddy of mine had offered up his 49 (might be a 50, not real sure) Bel Air that has been chopped, channeled...really nice lead sled......would have been a fair deal.....that is what got me thinking about trading it out (or selling it outright and then buying something with the money made)......

I love my Nova....but it does seem like so much work...with having to move back to Dallas this summer....with not having a great workshop or garage to do the finish welding on the roll cage....not having a clue on how to put the floors in, the tubs.....it was starting to become a bit overwhelming. Luckily I have a very, very supportive wife....and we arent financially needing to sell it, nor really any other reason to get rid of it aside from that......

I should keep it.....and just start to get to work on it.
