I know that I will have to mini tub the car. I was just wondering if I will have enough room for the tires if I move my leaf springs in 2". I would rather not use a four bar with coil-overs if I don't have to. I want to drive this car on a semi regular basis and I don't want to have to brace myself every time I hit a small bump. Any suggestions? I was thinking about running a watts link with leaf springs. Will I be able to do this with such a wide tire?

The closer you move leaf springs the stiffer they will need to be. I don't see a need for any lateral devise. (Watts link)

Would you recommend a four bar set up with coil overs? Will the ride be pretty harsh with the heavier leaf springs you are talking about?

Hi,
I am just in the process of doing a minitub to accomodate my Heidts 4-link in my 66.
To fit 13.5" wide tires the main issue will not be the leaf springs - it`s the rear frames rails that are in the way. You would have to cut out the frame rails and install new ones or cut and dislocate the rear part of the original frame rails (the part from the axle backwards where the frame gets substantially wider).
If you do a minitub right to the original frame the max tire size will be in the 12" range (like 295/50R15).
