Greatest thrill for me is when I light it off for the first time after a rebuild. ...well, it is if it runs!! To be specific, this is the 2nd startup attempt (but the first successful one)! About 10 minutes earlier I tried starting it 180 degrees out and had a smallish fire to deal with. Wait! I swear I ....oh well, I screwed up...nothing broke!:o This time it came to life! I may look like I'm just standing around in my geezer clothes but inside I'm turning cartwheels!:D:D I am lucky enough to have a neighbor who owns a timing light so he set the initial timing. I can fine tune it later. Hey! It runs!!:D:D

I have never posted video before so I hope this works!

Greetings,

Congrats! You'll have it tuned in no time. Then you can drive it alot and get all the bugs out of it. That's the fun part.

It would have been OK to go back and listen to it. I saw you turn that 180 in the video, you know you wanted to, I would have.

Yeah, this is the survivor! Just a couple of blems on the passenger side that I hope I can wet sand out. The combo is a 383 with SDPP vortec heads, a GMPP hot cam (but with 1.5 stamped rockers for now) and a Holley 670 Street Avenger. The exhaust is a Summit header ( SUM-G9001-9 ) and a Summit 2.5" exhaust ( SUM-680101 ) that dumps just in front of the rear shackle.:D I had to go out tonight and crank it up again!!:D:D

Hey Andy! I am really trying to get it ready for the Good Guys in March! Unfortunately, my job is going to get really crazy starting in March so it probably will be a work in progress at best!! Seats should be back next week, hopefully, and I am working away on the AC from Hot Rod Air!!
