The spacer between brake lights and turn signals was totally rusted...so I cut it out. Now i have this big space and was wondering if anyone had any ideas of a solid tail light that would fit the new open tail lights. Here's a pic

I am wondering whether or not the rear lights from a 72 would fit that opening without modifications?

Now that I see them together, I think the 74's are a little longer.

Look into the Olds Omega or Pontiac Ventura/GTO rear lights, I think they are much longer than the standard Nova opening.

I recently parted a 72 Ventura II and still have the tail light assemblies. Since they are easily accessable to me (still sitting on my shop floor) I would be more then happy to measure them for you.
Let me know.

I really appreciate all the quick responses. The new opening is 15 3/4" x 3" anything close to that I could probably make work...thanks again!
