Can someone tell me about the Seat Belt Warning sensor that is located in the front seat? I have a bench and the wire is there under the carpet but not hooked-up. It comes from the pass side of the harness and goes almost to the center hump across the pass floor under the seat. I looked at the seat and couldn't see a place to plug it in. thanks for any help. The harness is 2 yellow wires into a single plug. Each seat belt retractor has a single yellow wire plugged into it.

The bench seat sensor works for both sides. It could tell if there was weight on the driver and/or passenger seat. I don't know about cars that originally came with buckets.
You must want a pretty accurate restoration I guess, because the seat belt buzzer was about the first thing I took off when I got my Nova. When I switched to buckets, the bench seat went in the dump. That was over 20 years ago. Hopefully anyone who rides with me will remember to buckle up. Now if only there was a buzzer for when I leave the headlights on...:o

Well I'm not exactly into a 1000 point restoration since not too much of my car is original anymore but I'm really curious how it works and if I could make mine work again....even if i later re-unhook it (is that a word?) I guess I'll dig into the bottom of my bench seat and see if the sensor is still there.....if it's not, then I might be in the market for one.
