Comments: Man !! all these cars on here are beautiful. I'm almost embarrassed to post a photo :(
I do drive her on the street but mostly play at the track. I do have the most fun in her and she's a blast to drive but I have to admit that more time get's spent on the other rides ( see Photo Bucket Link ) as far as soap and wax goes. It's hard to keep her clean when racing so please know that the pics are in between cleanings..

Nice looking car. The main thing is you're driving it and having fun and that is what it is all about.

Hello Big Dog,
You know, that's kind of funny. All my friends call me the Big Dog as well. Maybe we're related  My nickname came from Basketball and work. I guess the cars too but can't remember now it's been so long.. Thanks for the compliments on Bub. I do love my Bub. :D She was suppose to be purebread but I think her mom was doing some playing with a Doby.. Worked out though because she is only Medium size an extremely lean. She goes with me everwhere and any bigger might be tough.
Your Dog looks Fantastic:yes: Got any more Pic's?

Sorry about Bear. I don't think most people realize how attached the Rott's get to their owners as well. Most have a great tempormant. The owner dictates that. People give them a bad rap but Rott's can easily be a family member and not the scary " turn on you at any time " monster people say... Bear was huge:eek: Bub is only about 80 Lbs. She think she's big though. When I start one of the cars... she runs around it again & again trying to bite at the back tires:rolleyes:
6" 9" ??? No wonder you're called the Big Dog. You probably got that nickname when you were 3 years old .. LOL
Good luck with finding another Rott. The next will never be the same as Bear but will have their own uniqueness. I think a lot more people would have a hard time replacing a family pet then they will admit to.
P.S. My Parents and Sister live in Iowa... I've only been there once. I think it's within an hour or so of the Humboldt area. They really like it...

Nice ride. What kind of track are you at, it looks like a roundy round track. We used to have a Rott, Rocky, and my family and friends was very fond him to. Only thing was he weighed 160lbs and the only way he would hurt you was that he wanted to be in your lap on the couch, and I'm not kidding. My daughter was born when we had him and they were the best of friends. He got cancer and you can guess the rest of the story. Now we have an ankle bitter. Scott

Humboldt!! thats about 40 min east of me. thats the only drag track around here.. i totally agree about rotts as family pets.. they are fantastic! Bear was said to be pure blood but they also had a mastiff and i think he had some pups in the mix..

ditto on the Rott deal, i had one and was the best dog I have ever had the joy of owning (almost human in temperment) I spent 6 months with her as a pup training every day (obedience stuff) you really get to know em when you are teaching em daily - I sure miss her, someday I'll get another

btw - great lookin car:o

Spending the first few months with training and attention shows who is in charge as well as creates an excellent temperment. Not putting in the time early is where people make the mistake...
Hey, Love the color on your car. I'm trying to pick a color for my 67 Camaro and was looking at the Tangerine and Copper colors. Looks very nice.

Awesome car. I love the pro-street cars especially now I own my first. Serious powerplant you have in it. What does it run? As for the Rotts, I would also agree 100%. I have a bull about 120lbs. He is almost so human like sometimes its funny. Its like he knows what I'm saying when I talk to him. He will even stand and pose for pics. And go figure what I named him, Chevy. Here are a couple of pics, 1st as puppy and then recent. He is about 4 yrs now.

LOL ...
I think they do understand us.. Great looking dog. Do you have a hard time keeping him out of the pool? My bub is part Dobi so you think she would hate water being niether breed really loves the water.. Can't keep her out. The swimstep on the boat is her favorite spot. Couple pic's on the photo link ..
Your Nova is sweet. Looks much funner to drive in then mine. I do drive on the street but not like i would if I had your set up.. That's the way to go right there..

Thanks FAT. To be honest he has never really been submerged in water, I don't even know if the poor dude can swim!:turn: I have a fishing pond in the back and he likes to chase the bullfrogs off the edge and he has come close to falling in a few times but not yet. I guess I'll have to take him to the lake to find out. As for the pool if he fell in there, I don't think the pool would survive, he really is a horse! As for the driving, your car looks like it would be just a beast to drive on the street. That is what I am trying to do now, take off the injection and add some more power with a new cam and carb, intake. The bottom end and heads are stout, but the previous owner really didn't build the induction to match. Sure won't be a beast like your monster but I need more umph.:D

Fat Tire

You would probably save some $$ for sure by going carb and intake but have you considered upgrading the injection? Especially if you already have the fuel system with pump and return line etc. working.. Slap a bigger converter with the bigger injection, a little NOS at the touch of a button  and you might be pretty happy. A lot cheaper to go carb but injection is sweet. Especially on an older ride...

The only reason I am going to go that route is that I already have a Dart intake and Holley carb from a street/strip car I used to have and the engine I have now already has a roller cam, so all I would need is to buy is the new roller cam. The TPIS injection is really tailored toward like 3rd gen f-body tpi retrofit. Even the computer I have is a f-body computer. I just don't think I could get it to do what i want. It needs too much vacuum and the Crane compucrap cam that is in it now is just tiny to be able to support that vacuum. I think my Tahoe has more cam in it.:D

Ahh... I see your madness:yes: You've got the go-fast disease:devil:
Good man... I'm sure you know this but be sure to check you lifters and springs to make sure they will match your new cam. The injection motors usually use a smaller Hydraulic roller and you will probably need to change both if going to a beefy Solid roller to match that intake.. She will be sweet though. Keep us updated

Yeah I have the disease! I miss racing my monte which was a 11.50 car with borderline low 11 high 10's on a small shot and it just happened to be almost a identical motor to what I have now minus the induction and cam. So I am going to try to copy that into this car being alot better built and lighter car, and a better cam. The other was a older flat tappet solid 280s comp. And still get some street time in it. I will check the springs, thanks for the advice, but I think it has Manley springs good to .600 lift but I do need to check the install height and for bind. Comquest has suggested a cam with max lift at around .576 so if that works out I should be ok. The amount of info on this site that I have read every day is astounding. I have learned alot already in a week or so of joining. I will keep updates. Thanks.:D
