BB vs SB heater box questions

I just got my big block heater box today and checked to see how far off it is from the A/C small block box. Needless to say its way off. So my question is what cars can I get the interior box and heater core mount from to mount up to the BB heater box? Any pics would also be great.

Thanks in advance,

Terry

If our firewall is punched for A/C you will need to change the opening. You'll have to replace that area with a firewall piece from a non A/C car before either the outer, or inner heater box will fit correctly.

What years will work? Also if I change the opening on the fire wall will all the interior duct work bolt up to the non a/c unit or will I need to chage that also?

69-72 are the same possibly 68-74 I'm not 100% on the 68-74 though.A/C cars have different ducting as well, they have vents in the center of the dash pad and on the drivers left on the dash bezel.Non A/C cars are much less invovled.I'll try to post pics on the weekend if no one else can.

Taz is correct. The dash would be wrong as would be your heat/air control. You need one for heater only, with the correct control cables.
You'll also need a Y duct to the defroster. I think Classic carries them now.

Anyone know for sure? What about Camaro years?

67 through 69 camaro outside, and inside boxs will work. The heater control box, and cables will be different. But you could cut that piece from the firewall of those years, and it would work. You can buy that frt piece from classic, but you get way more than you need, and I think it runs around 350.00.
