I am looking for pics of how and where the clutch linkage comes through the firewall. I am also looking for pics of under the dass where the brake and clutch pedals mount.
Need a couple pics of manual trans specific picsDirtboy488 12th-February-2008, 08:57 PM I am looking for pics of how and where the clutch linkage comes through the firewall. I could get some pics for you if it helps.:) 72GreenRally 13th-February-2008, 03:43 AM You should already have the hole in the firewall, with a flat cover over it. I tried to see where mine is, and it looks like it is an oblong hole, between the speedo cable and the column. If you have power brakes, it is pretty hard to see from the engine side. I think that if youremove the plastic toe guard from the base of the steering column inside, and pull back the carpet, or vinyl mat, you will see it. The cover is screwwed in from the inside. Dirtboy488 13th-February-2008, 06:24 AM The front of the car is bare so I see the hole you are talking about, but is the plate different for autos and manuals? The auto plate has a large oblong hole for the auto linkage to go through and it does not look like the manual linkage boot will stay in place. Terry 71SS454 13th-February-2008, 09:58 AM Here you go. You can see the rod just under the master cylinder with the boot on it. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t283/69X11/427Nova012.jpg Dirtboy488 13th-February-2008, 11:13 PM Perfect, any more pics of the clutch setup would be great. brickyardboy 14th-February-2008, 04:26 PM Here's a diagram of 3rd Gen. clutch setup: | |
