Hey everyone!

My name is Mike and I'm in Asheville, NC. I just picked up my 72 nova with a 6 cylinder and 2 speed powerglide last night. Drove it home with no plates and flickering headlights. Got in late at night and here I am with questions so keep an eye out! I'm excited to be working on this car. My last one (which I'm still debating keeping) is a 1989 camaro RS that I installed a 355 in. It has a 700r4 transmission that I had race built and just recently blew out with a busted rear planetary gear set. Of course, the money I was going to spend on that was put towards this car and I got a call from my parts guy saying he has a hi-po rebuilt with the better planetary gear set and beast sun shell for a thousand dollars, so I think I'll have 3 cars. The camaro also had a 9" ford rear end. This car will be a little more tame hopefully.

Look forward to talking to everyone and getting some questions answered!

Pictures will definatly be coming, just waiting for the digital camera to finish charging. Of course, I'm also waiting for it to charge for the house I just bought, to send the folks pics of the girlfriend and new dog, and to get pics of the scattered transmission rear planetary set, but there coming. Just got done crawling around the car for a while. Looks like it was definatly someone's effort to begin a resto and they ran out of money. New inner fenders, new headliner, all new rubber, engine looks like it has a new fuel pump and alternator. Bunch of the frame parts look freshly cleaned and painted. Anyone know anything about if I sand down and rustoleum paint the lower quarters and doors to prevent any additional rust?
