At least all of the cars on that show are from California. None of us anywhere else have to worry about our cars being selected. I think that sucks. People from all over the United States watch that show.
yllib1961
11th-February-2008, 04:12 PM
I think they did go out of California a couple of times if I'm not mistaken. But I agree, they should try and spread the joy around more often. I'll tell you one thing.....That puny lock on my garage in the Bronx can be opened very easily with just a paper clip!! Hint, Hint. Billy.

Heard they cancelled it. Chris playing the cop or insurance guy was getting a little old. They did produce some great cars, tho.

All the really good shows always seem to get cancelled, yet American Chopper, which only seems to concentrate on the fighting lately and less on bike building, just keeps rolling along. I don't get it.:confused::confused::confused::confused: Billy.

I love the Foose Nitrous II's. Could you do me a favor and post a pic from the side? Do you know what the backspacing is? Tires? I'm most definately putting them on my Nova.
I watched the Nova-caine Overhaulin' episode. Nice ride! I can't remember if they mini-tubbed the rear or kept it stock.

Yes sir it took only one week... Then they out source the final inspection to another company to make sure everything is ok...which can take awhile, mine only took one month. The only thing needed on my car was a relay for the AC but everything else was good... Chip even took me out for a spin when he first showed me the car! Nothing is free! There is always Uncle Sam's Cut ! :D

Novacain,
I am sure that Chip and the rest of the crew would not mind that at all (since they are pure modifiers), but I feel that it looks right the way it is. Tubbing is not an uncommon sight these days, but having an original from Foose is rare indeed.
May I suggest that perhaps you could build a sister car (you know, for either the wife or you to drive when the other half is driving this one to the show..:D).
A sister car, maybe even in reverse color scheme, that has all the features you would have built into the Novacain, would definitely complement an already unique Nova. Just MHO.

I was TOTALLY SURPRISED! Man talk about a life changing experience ! What most people don't know is that my car was stolen on a Monday from by parents house and they kept me away from my parents house all week... When they told me my car was stolen it was already Friday... That night I got sick :awkward: .... Really sick! I woke my wife up around 2 am and told her to take me the the emergency room! So after a few hours of testing they told me I had a freakin kidney stone! For those whom have had one know... IT IS PAINFUL! :( So I was in bed from Saturday to Monday... I was on Meds and the Meds made me sleepy  ... So I was kinda outta of it for most of the show... I remember the Producer giving me some RED BULL to wake me up some so I could be excited ... and trust me I was.... I just couldn't really show it cause of the Meds...

I AGREE! But I spoke with the builders and with Chip and they were planning on doing the mini tub on the car to begin with but ran out of time... everything is already set up for the mini-tub except for the actual cutting of the wheel wells... The leaf springs have been relocated moved closer in-ward and gas tank replaced with a narrower one to accomidate the placement leaf-springs... So it well still be Foose Original !

Thank you very much for the additional pictures!!! :) It still looks sweet. I'm putting those hoops on my ride for sure.
Cool for me that they didn't do a mini-tub... that way I have some measurements to go off of. I'm going to keep the grandma-car stock in the rear except I'll swap out the lame-o 8.2" peg-leg gear set for a 8.5" 10-bolt posi axle.

Great show, Great Car and Great that you're willing to share will all of us on the site!
I feel like the guys on the show, I've been working on my car forever and my god it's a ton of work! I've gone through my entire car and it just never seems to end and I'm not even painting it! I wanted to keep my factory A/C and that in itself is a handful.
If you have any pictures of the under side I'd love to see them. Especially how they moved the rear springs inward.
Thanks again for sharing! Are you thinking of going on the Power Tour at any point?

Any chance you could post or send me a couple pictures from different angles of the engine compartment?? I kept the factory A/C on mine and see Foose kept yours as well. I have my suitcase installed so really just the plumbing is left.

No prob. I assume you have an electric fan? If so I'd love to see that and how they ran the wiring.
The clampless ends look cool but I'm left wondering if they're really a good idea in case you would need to remove a hose or replace a hose. They're a one time deal. So... I suppose though, if you were to blow a hose you can get regular clamps when you get the new hose. Hmmmm
