Nova Value Question

Hey guys i was wondering if you could help me out. I dont know much on the values of all novas and i had a question come up on my forums at Chevy High Performance and i thought maybe you guys could help...

The question is...

I am new to this board, so if I am posting in the wrong area, please forgive me. I have a 1968 Nova II. It has body damage. It was actually in a wreck. The fenders were crumpled and the hood crumpled a little also. A sheet metal guy could probably spend some time on them, but I would just replace them. Anyway, the engine, frame and suspension are all undamaged. It just needs a radiator. It will start and go down the road straight. My question is how do I go about detemining the retail value of this car? Is there a web sit I could find or if someone would know what I could get out of it that would be great. If I need to provide more info or photos, let me know. I have checked NADAGuides.com but I don't know where else to look.

thanks

i would contact a local car club and ask if they know someone that can appraise it for you. when the car has damage it can get tougher to get a true value for it... but in the end its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it no matter what an appraiser or anyone else says the value is.. good luck!

Lewis,
Do a advance search on Ebay for Nova 1968. Look at ended auctions that most closely resemble your car. The 68 year brings a premium. But search all years to 72 for comparison. Earl

Is it anything special like an SS, L79, big block/small block, or a 6 cyl, or 307? Details can add to value. Bucket seats, vinyl top, good interior parts especially on a 68.
