My name is Stuart and I'm an alcoholic. No, wait, that's the wrong meeting...

My name is Stuart, I'm 35 and live in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (the part that is connected to Wisconsin, not the 'mitten' part.) I live by myself. No kids, unless my black lab counts. I work as a financial counselor of sorts.

I bought my first Nova in 1989, when I was 17, and made the mistake of trading her in on a new truck in 1991. I corrected that mistake by getting my current Nova back in September. She's like a time machine and I plan on leaving her that way (I'm old-school like that.)

I'm not that mechanically inclined, so if I post about how to do something, check with someone else first! Do not attempt at home.

Other than my Nova, I shoot pistols competitively with my Dad and I race sailboats during the summer.

I was made in Belgium, born in England and am a Yankee by act of Congress. I spent my first 2 years in Belgium, the next 6 in England, then 14 in southern California and the last 12 in Upper Michigan. I was naturalized in October 1996. Most people have no idea I was English unless I tell them. I lost my accent a long time ago.

I'm a smarta$$ so don't take much that I say seriously!

More than 8-10 times a day and you have a problem. They make pills to help with that now.

Not that there is a 'middle of somewhere' here in the UP, I am really in the 'middle of nowhere.' I live about 3 miles from a very small town named Chatham, which is roughly half way between Marquette and Munising down on M-94. I think we have a population of about 200-300 (if you don't count livestock!:D)

If you ever do a lot of snowmobiling in the UP, you've probably been in the area around my house. If any of you were ever in the Air Force and have heard of or served at KI Sawyer AFB, I'm about 20 miles from there. It's not an AFB any more, it's our 'international' airport. The little turbo-props they fly in here land on the runway and then taxi for about an hour to get to the terminal:yes:

Stu,

Definitely your Black Lab does count. Their unconditional love makes them family.

Put an add in the classifieds section for your accent...it worked for me...:D

I guess that makes us two $mart A$$e$, although I hear that Mr. Repo Dude is King on that department...:D

Thanks for the intro, and I'm pleased to meet you.
