Hello my name is George owner ( JMS.RACING / JONES MOTOR SPORTS) located in Iowa not the famous one in all of the Chevy mags. Anyway I am new to this site and new to the Nova seen. We wanted to try somthing a little different and maybe not the norm so we are doing up a 1979 Nova Coupe. This is going to be our first attemp in the Nova area and also with the leaf spring suspension. So I am sure we will be asking a lot of suspension question. Most of our experience has been with the coil spring cars ( G Body Malibus and Chevelles). We are looking foward to being a member here and getting to know all of you.

We got the 79 Nova in a trade along with a 97 Ford Ranger some cash and a set of Comp Eng Slide A Links for the Nova. We gave up a 1990 Ford Mustang that actually was a pretty nice car and was not very streetable. The Nova belonged to a freind of mine ,his wife drag raced it but it had not been completly butchered up and was a better street canidate. He really wanted the Mustang so we made the deal.(I am kind of a big guy and the Mustang was hard for me to get in and out of p. s I aint no fat boy). The other reason was I wanted to do something different it seemed everyone was doing the 1,2 and 3 gen Novas. After seeing the car and the way he had it set up it just grew on me. We also own a 79 Malibu so I figured why not a 79 Nova.

Welcome to the site George owner! :D

Nothing wrong with a 79. ('cept maybe finding grille and headlight parts. ;)) I like 'em.
