Hey Jeff...the wheels are stock, from a Vette...But I see them all the time at swap meets and on cragis list fairly cheap. They range around $35-$50. They will not fit a stock Chevy! I relocated the leaf springs and min tubbed it! I believe 15x7 is the widest rim with a 2356015 is the biggest tire, but ever car is different. Keep looking on this site...there's so much info here and a lot of knowledge to be found! Good luck.

Yeah...I thought about it for a long time! Since I plan on Driving more Street than Strip, I went with Mech! My thinking is if it fails, I can most likely find a Mech pump at any Pep Boy,Kragen, or Auto Zone. Try to find a High Volume Elec Pump at your local auto parts store.

Hey Ltl Evil, I like the looks of your deuce. I just got through with the same project on my 64. I was able to get 15x10's on the rear of mine with 4.5" back spacing and I also used 295/50's. I kept my gas tank though, really didn't need a cell right now. Keep on trudging along, you'll get there. That big 396 is going to be cool.

Yea its easy to replace. I had a edelbrock 17,599,432 GPM thing on mine for a while until it broke a bladder. I went electric after that. I should have kept it simple, but I don't.
Hey I might have missed the description, but whats the motor specs? Who built it and some projected numbers?
Looks great

Sup lowpro...I just up dateded the Engine info...Short block was done by Dave at the Balance Shop in Reseda CA. I was told with the cam and head comb it should make an honest 400-450hp at the wheels!

2 inch droped spindles, big block rear sump oil pan, fenderwell headers, the oilpan will be just about siting on the ground, the headers will not let the car turn the wheels, aka the tubes will be hitting the tires, major surgery to the shock towers are a must to get the headers bolted to the bullet, the windshield wiper area will need to be massaged, aka to get the v cover off,the engine dampner will hit the crossmember, aka need to space out the engine mounts for dampner, this is some things that your going to run into, get the bigest rad that fits the core support, not that slumit generic rad that guys use on site, hood clearance is a problem with the stock flat hood, aka air cleaner or lack of
don
ps have fun with the car, been there done that before
pm me if you have any questions

Thanks for the comments fellows! So far the rain hasn't given me a chance to keep working...It's going to be a while before I post some more pics. Last night I got the fender wells cut out, the shock towers are next and then the firewall!

Oh! I got relocated from Car Profiles to This new section...dang I guess I still can't follow the rules!!
