Yes it is a true SS. And a true 4 speed car. The 12 bolt is the orginal to the car and the bummy cut it. I checked the date on it an it dose match the build of the car.The car did have a console the mounting tabs were still in the trans tunnel. The car has always been a drag car. The car set for years and went through a few hands before I got it. I got to talk to the guy that bought the car new. He said it was a L79 car but who knows. The motor was gone the trans was gone. So the best I can say is it is a true 66 ProStreet and I am happy with that.

I wouldn't care if it was a yellow Toyota. Anybody that has a Nova as sharp as Tim's, is alright in my book.

Wow, I am sorry I missed this the first time. I have had the good fortune of talking with Tim about his car, and his eyes just light up. What an awesome machine! Anything that can run 8s, get 17mpg, and cruise the highway to and from shows deserves the utmost respect. For those of you who do not know Tim, this man has been around cars forever, and is an encyclopedia of info. And he can spin a good yarn while he is at it.

Take care Tim, we are already booked for Columbus GoodGuys this July. Are you coming back to town?

Beautiful car for sure:yes:...........Tim keeps tinkering with it and making it better and better. There's not many hot rods out there with all of the creature comforts that Tim has in his car...........sure they are out there, but most are big money cars that were purpose built to be show cars........No doubt Tim's is a purpose built car, but it's purpose was to be used, abused put away and pounded on again and again, all with the best style and comfort anyone could want. WAY TO GO TIM!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's pretty much what Tim and I were talking about yesterday on the phone. I told him I've seen more than my share of Pro Fairground cars, and I sure was glad to know his wasn't one of them.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. For sure this is not a show car. Kind of rough around the edges. But it sure is fun. And to me that is what it is all about. Drive it have fun with it if others like it fine if not that is fine to. After all the kids we have had over the years I fell lucky to even have a car.
