I just wanted to say hello and let everyone know I just picked up a car I have always wanted, a 66 Chevy II. My passion for the Chevy II goes back to when I had a 69 Camaro and a good friend of mine had a 67 Chevy II. The body lines and shape of the car are awesome. It my opinion, when a car like this is done right, it is one BAD ride!
Now to the car, the 66 is a non-ss 400 car. I plan on going back with a carbed 400 SB with a streetable 600 or so HP. I plan on adding a power adder, just haven't decided on whether it should be NOS, a supercharger, or both. I plan on creating a mix between a Pro-Street and a Pro-Touring for the car. I must admit, I still have a love for the Pro-Street version, but want to make sure the car handles as close to "on-rails" as possible while still hooking up for the 1/4 mile. I plan on the build taking about 3-4 years.
I just finished a build for my father-in-law, and it should be completely done in the next month or so. We had an extreme 8 month build, just to get the truck to a point where it could be delivered in time for Christmas, especially since it was to be a present to my father-in-law from my mother-in-law. Just to let you know, I did the grunt work, my mother-in-law funded it. This is the reason I plan on taking some time with this build. I need some rest and time off. Here is a link to the build, check it out and let me know what you think.

Anyways, this site is awesome, and the members on it provide good and detailed information. I look forward to continuing my research on this site, and starting a new build thread for everyone to look at and offer suggestions. I'll post some pics of the car I picked up this weekend once I get them uploaded onto my computer at home. However, the car needs the driver's floor pan patched and the whole trunk pan (which is already removed). Both L & R quarters might need to be replaced, if not patched, but that is a decision to be made later.
Thanks and keep up the good work!
