Hi,
my name is Ken Gilliam, I live in Arizona near Bullhead City. Married with 4 kids, my wife Darice and myself are both locomotive engineers/ conductors. I have been into cars and wheel sports all my life, even raced dirt track a few years. My first Nova is my 63 and now I'm a Novaholic.:D I played music (drummer) for several years in a country band, and still love to jam. :)

Here is some pics of my project. It's my daily driver, I hope to soon have a V8, 12bolt and CCP front suspension stuff on it. I want to paint it , but I can't decide on the color.

Hey Ken,
I don't think I've seen a six with the serpentine belt setup:cool: That must go pretty good with a 5 speed.
I'm a bass player, too bad you live so far away. I've played all kinds of music, including some country years ago.
How do you like working with the railroad? I've always been curious about that but don't know what kind of opportunities there are for a fiftyish fellow.

Hi Stan, I added the serpentine setup myself.:D The railroad is an easy job physically. The hard part is rotating shifts and going to work at any time of night. Sometimes seniority forces you out of town for long periods of time. I have enough time in now I can hold a good job close to home.

Kendog, nice car. If you wouldn't mind, please share how you accomplished the serpentine. I'd like to do the same to mine. Thx, Ed

I used the pulleys off of a 91 buick and some I had. I cut the centers out of two of them and welded them with the six stuff. I used my lathe to make sure everything was straight and centered. I had to take a little off the belt groove on the balancer also. It was a major pain, but I had the time and no money, thought it would be different.

Whad'ya know, another AZ member!

Nice looking car Ken! I'm hoping to find me another old Nova to play with, either a 1st or another 2nd gen. I might try to make it up to Kingman this year for the Street Drags. That sounds pretty interesting!
