How many Novas still have their 250's in them? Are those engines rare?

At car shows and swap meets, I don't see many. I just assumed that people would buy the 250 and swap out their own 350, etc to save some cash back in the 70's. Hmmm.

Quite a few of us have kept our 250s. I didn't know of too many until I came to Steve's. I've met many here:cool:
I've heard of lots of people getting rid of 250s and putting in 350s, but haven't heard of anyone that went the other way. The 250 isn't as great on gas as you might think, though I'm hoping a newer overdrive transmission will help that some. They're easier to work on though, something I appreciate every time I open the hood.

Ha. Sorry. I lack in the "being descriptive" department sometimes. I meant to say, "People must have bought the factory 250 and put in their own 350 later down the road to save money." I love my little 250. She's my grandma car. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Someone swapped out my original 250 for a 350 sometime before I had it, and based on the condition of the car and motor, it looks like it had been there since the 70s.
