I JUST JOINED THE FORUM AND WANTED TO SAY HELLO TO EVERYONE. I JUST PURCHASED THIS MOSTLY ORIGINAL 1968 NOVA II 307 AND I'LL BE HERE ASKING QUESTIONS TO FIGURE OUT SOME THINGS WITH IT. I DO KNOW IT'S ONLY BEEN PAINTED ONCE AND THE WHEELS AREN'T ORIGINAL, I THINK IT'S A PRETTY GOOD STARTING POINT.

Cool car you couldn't have found a better year. 68 are one of the most unique years because of the 69 DOT rule changes. Look in the originality area and look at the differences between 68 and all the other 69-72 cars.

Looks like a very clean start, how much did you pay for it? It looks like there's a huge dent in the driver's door? Or is it a reflection?

this is the car now, i've made a few changes. got the dent in the door fixed, added rally wheels and a steel cowl hood. this winter i'll be upgrading to a 383 with a 700r transmission and a limited slip rear end.

Hey Turbo, Wecome to Steves
My first nova (actually Acadian) was a 68. Still kicking myself for getting rid of it. My favorite of all the years. I was just in Indy visiting family. (wife from Indy.) Maybe I can stop by next visit.
Good Luck, Joe. :canada:
