will a 2 bolt main hold up with the power a 383 puts out or is it a waste of money.should i just wait and try to find a 4 bolt main how much power can a stock 2 bolt block hold i know the ford 302's can handle 500+ so the 350's got to be able to do atleast that

It will work just fine.
Maybe opt for a set of ARP main studs.

2 bolt is actually stronger across the main caps and is prefered over a 4 bolt for angle drilling to use custom 4 bolt caps.

Like Al said ... ARP would not be a bad Idea,,,,, also consider keeping the rpm BELOW 7000... 2 BOLT MAINS the caps have a tendency to walk in the registers a bit causing some binding under load and at high rpm.
