I was wondering what would be the max tire width I would be able to run on my 74' nova and if there are any suggestions to wheel and tire sizes

Rolling the inner fender lip and moving your shocks inboard would be required for sure with the 295. Mr Nova 21st-January-2008, 10:55 AM I have the run the following wheel/tire combinations on the back of my 71 Nova (Which I no longer own :(, regretfully....) without any rolling of the wheel lip... 255/60R15 & stock GM 15x7 ralley wheel. 255/70R15 & 15x7 Weld Draglite (4.5" backspacing) 275/60R15 & 15x8 Weld Draglite (5.5" backspacing) nvaguy72 21st-January-2008, 03:11 PM I fit a set of 255/60/r15's under it nicely, with no need to roll the lip of the inner fender well. they are on aftermarket 15X8 rallye style wheels. Mr Nova 22nd-January-2008, 09:51 AM I forgot to mention that with the 275/60R15 & 15x8 (5.5" back spacing) combo platter you will need to relocate the shocks inboard for sufficient clearance... chriss68 22nd-January-2008, 10:28 AM i have a 295/50/15's under my car. but i have air shocks lifting the back end to clear the tire from rubbing. i also have big block coils on front so my car sits high. it works if you want a tall stance car. if you want the car down in the weeds then you will need to do some work on the rear to make that size tire fit. 255's will work for sure.
