SINGLE leaf versus DOUBLE leaf straight axles

Hello:

Does anyone have input on the Single leaf spring straight axle with dual Wishbone assembly usage for the street?

Of concern is cornering and strength.

I recall as a kid back in the
70's a Blue SBC dual quad 1958 street Vette having one of these in lieu on the common dual leaf spring straight axle. The single I beam had holes drilled within its structure. This Vette looked Stunning!
