Brake Fitting Problem

I just converted my front brakes on my 65 to disc from CPP. I have the new master cylinder from CPP with the built in proportioning valve.

I have already re-plumbed the back brakes on a separate 3/16" line.

The problem I am running into is that the line from the front fender to the master cylinder is not 3/16" but seems like 1/4". No one seems to be able to supply a reducer to make this transition and I don't want to have to re-plumb the front brakes.

Anybody know where I can get the proper fitting for this or am I stuck re-doing all the front brake lines.

Thanks

Jim,

I don't have the CPP MC so I'm not sure I can help you. When I did my disc brake conversion I bought an assortment of fittings in kit from a hot rod shop and was able to connect everything up.

I did a search on this site for "fittings" to see if I could find some info for you. This thread might help:

It might give you some ideas.

The fitting you need is readily available.

Napa will have this, but will not be found in the old trusty Weatherhead brass fitting cabinet.

They should have a assortment with brake line specific adapters.

What you want is not rare, just finding that qualified parts guy to get it is!

Thanks Mike and Al. I've got some parts numbers and now I will try to track down that elusive knowledgable parts guy.

I have the fitting adapters that you are asking about. Call or send a PM, and we will get these sent to you.
