I have another just like this one but in excellent condition. I may sell it to buy a new aftermarket one for my 69. What year would this wheel be correct for? I hear these go for big money on ebay?? The cover has a strip insert down the center with SS on it. I don't have ane other pictures right now.

I know that horn area is the 3rd gen style. Not exactly sure on which years. 73-74 for sure. The part thats worth a lot is the SS horn buttons. I've seen them clear $100 regularily. Pretty sure a REALLY nice one went for $250 on ebay.
Guy at a local carshow was trying to get $30 for complete crap non SS horn buttons. He had a really crappy SS one there and was hoping to get $60.

3rd gen by the shape. It looks like the wheel part is hard plastic, which would rule out 73-74 (73-74 had a soft grip). I also think 68 had a different style. So 69-72 is my educated guess.

The wheel is hard plastic. I think it may be 70-72. Didn't the 68-69 wheel look different and had the horn buttons on the outside. This wheel has the horn in the center?
Thanks for the help

68 is a 3 spoke wheel,69-70 have horn botton's on the sides and 71-72 use soft padded horn piece!

I've been seriously considering buying an aftermarket '69 wheel as well. I'd appreciate it if you do buy one, let us know how you like it, etc.
Thanks,
