4.5 BS. Any problem??

I currently have Cragar SS,15x7 with 3.75" back spacing. The wheels I am probably buying are Billet Specialties Qualifiers, 17"x7" with 4.5 backspacing. It appears these will be OK. Just wondering if someone already has this size up front on a '66 with stock suspension? The current tire.215-65-15, is real close to the bottom front of the fender, but with the different BS on the new wheels,I think it will be better since the wheel will be inwards a little bit more. I dont see any problem in the rear of the car. I have 235-60-15 there. Any input will be appreciated. Im planning to get a tire size that has the same overall diameter that the 15's have, about 26". Thanks!!

you'll be fine.I have 4"bs on my fronts and they don't rub...close..real close but no rubbing.bm

I have Intro wheels with a TCI 4 link and the 4.5 is a problem in the rear it doesn't touch but GOD it's close Intro & BS will use about the SAME mesurements

I am running

17x7 front 4.5 BS (FINE)
235/45 17
17x8 rear 4.5 BS VERY CLOSE TO INNER WHEEL HOUSE
255/45 17

Are they close to the fender or shock towers?Are your wheels 17x7's front and rear?What tire sizes are you using? Does your car have the stock front suspension? Sorry for the questions, but I dont want to find out the hard way, if these wheels will fit.:DThanks

Sorry for the questions, but I dont want to find out the hard way, if these wheels will fit.:DThanksI have 17x7 4bs up front.205/50/17 tires.super close(1/4 to the fender) but they don't rub.I did put some 1/4 spacers on the fender braces to push them out alittle.I have stock suspension,disc brakes,cpp lower a arm kit.If your doing 4.5bs you should be fine.bm
