You are correct, there is supposed to be a clamp to keep the line from getting damaged by holding it close to the control arm. One hole is for the bolt and the other is a locator-hole for the clamp. Thanks go to Allen_396 for the picture.

You can buy the brake line brackets from most any on-line suppliers. Here's a pair from Classic Industries

I think what wfw70ss is looking for ( and so am I ) are the small clamp that holds the flex hose to the upper control arm. I just ordered my flex lines from Napa. They come with the steel sleeve around the rubber, but not the small clamp. Anybody know of a supplier, or will these need to be fabricated.

Man that is an ugly picture......but that was a parts car so it's OK.
I haven't seen the clamps for the line reproduced yet...look at the picture again, it has a small prong that locates it on the control arm and the bolt hole too.

Yes there should be a bracket that holds the hose to the upper control arm and it looks like this.

Classic Muscle/Modern Chevrolet has the flex hose to upper control arm bracket. It looks like they have to be formed around the brass sleeve on the flex line. They are $12.95 pair.
