Just had one installed in the 67 wagon (complete kit with lowering springs) It is like a new car. For almost 20 years I have played with different things to try and make it drive better but the CPP kit it the greatest thing ever made for a basically stock car. If you are even sort of thinking about it do it you will be happy.

I'd have to agree with that. I put mine on when they first came out, it's the best money i've ever spent on the car.

I hate to say, "I told you so, but...." ;) It's fun to drive the car again, isn't it?

Mike,

That has been the same response most people have had. Did Brian B install it for you? I talked to him the other day and thought he said he was doing it. Also, he said you were moving to Corvallis. When? I will look you up next time I'm up there.

Brian did it on his lift. Picking up anything heavy is not an option for me anymore so I started some bolts and was moral support. I had already replaced the rivets with bolts so it really went well no problems at all. We bought a place in Corvallis and are slowly moving there. It has a huge shop that will take about 10 sec, to get used to.

Corvallis is a great place. My parents live there and I "built" my Nova in their shop.

Let me know if you need any local knowledge about the place. :)

Don't temp me. I really didn't want to go the whole changeover (9in, new front suspension etc) on the SS but I may just do it. I really can't believe the wagon is the same car. I think the 3.00 gears are going to have to come out though. The way it drove at speed before I didn't worry about going to jail but now there might be a problem.

After reading everyones praises about this suspension I finally gave in today and ordered it from Summit Racing. They said it was in stock and will be shipped today! Now I'll see for myself!:D

One question about install: How easy is it to remove the rivets and what kinds of tools will be needed to do that? Thanks.

Easiest way is to grind off the heads and punch them out.

The hardest part is actually getting a grinder wheel onto the rivet heads. The hard to get to rivets are snuggled up inside the strut rod brackets.

Hey Rex. On the rivets that can't be reached with a grinder, dad and I used a drill and slightly smaller drill bit to drill off the head of his 67. Took a chisel and a few licks and broke the head off. Not too bad.
