I feel the same way about the Arizona members, don't get too much activity on the SW forums. I think California needs it's own forum though...

It's pretty quiet around here for the most part. We get an occasional trickle of conversation every so often though.

We all have good attitudes. How's that?? ;)

Is anyone going to be racing at Pacific and Bremerton regularly next year 08 its going to be my first season and would like to meet up with anyone who has the time to maybe throw a few helpful pointers my way while at the track.
I am in Seattle and dont know anyone from the area who races there.

Hey man, I will be looking for you. I've raced at both tracks, but not what you'd call regularly. I'm afraid your Nova will be wayyyy faster than mine:cool:

Naw they are all stuck in the BS section posting everything under the sun there. Maybe the BS Mod could get off his lazy duff and start moving threads to where they really belong.:p

It sucks here! The weather is bad ALL THE TIME! Our economy stinks! Hmm what other stories can I tell to keep people away .. Loose lips sink ships.... If we keep everything quiet we can keep the population boom in our area down... YEAH RIGHT!

Guess the bottom line is we just don't have the local Steve's numbers the rest of the country has. Not for lack of trying:D

Eh, it doesn't just end with novasite members. It's hard to get people from the northwest to do ANYTHING.

Perhaps it's because we're always stuck in traffic? Or trying to find a starbucks? Or at home searching for candles because the wind knocked out the power again? Or busy sandbagging every spring fall and spring to keep the floodwaters out?

Or maybe no one dares leave their homes because they're waiting for that on predicted "big" earthquake that is gunna sink half of sandy-bottomed down town seattle into the sound, and cause damage to our cracking viaducts and dozens of bridge structures that recently failed numerous safety inspections!?!?!?

Nah, we're all just slightly depressed and a little anti-social.

Well since I'm tryin to be social..

BSC,

You ever been to the Grizzly Tools store up that way in Bellingham? I am thinkin about a road trip? Just picked this up and now I need a box pan/brake and a couple other items maybe?

'matter of fact I have!!!

I picked up my lathe, sandblasting cabinet, miter saw, and a few other odds and ends right off their showroom floor.

It's worth the trip if you're trying to save a few $$ on shipping. Definitely nice to see what you're buying before you order, too. While they've got a nice selection of *decent* tools, they've got some pretty cheap *junk* as well.

They have a big garage sale in house once or twice a year selling scratch and dent items, and stuff they are discontinuing...tried to snag a good drill press last year, but they only had the bench top units on sale. :(

Now that you mention it, I need a new bench grinder...some more polishing wheels, and a new set of stepped drill bits. Maybe I'll find my way up there this weekend. ;)

haha!

Yeah I need to hook up with a few buddies and make a trip out of it. I need a few odds and ends and Harbor Freight just don't cut it either. I figgered a lot of their stuff is decent enough to use as a hobby tool. If I was gonna make money at it those aren't the tools to be using.

Funny you mention a Drill press, I need a full height model myself. Got 2 bench units but they just don't cut it. Been scouring C's-list but everyone wants a fortune for used junk. I also need a metal band saw.

If I head up that way I'll let ya know and maybe we can grab a cup of that Starbucks or maybe even a  or 3 ;)

Sounds good! I'm actually about 20 miles sound of Bellingham, not far off I-5 :D

I haven't been in the harbor freight in Everett...in fact I just recently found out it was even there!

Yeah they are few and far between. They are supposed to be opening a new HF in Bellevue someday. It's on the HF site but that info has been there for almost a year?? We'll see.

When I head up that way I"ll ping ya...

Cheers!

Suggestions would be gladly appreciate on things that you feel need to be moved because they belong elsewhere.

I have a feeling I'd piss off more people than I already do if I start moving all of the non-Nova specific stuff out of the BS forum into other areas.

That's a tough line to navigate Jeffy.

Yep, we'll be out at both tracks with the NPSA group. We run Pro Street. We live 10 min from Pacific Raceway. Probably won't get out until July since my driver wife is having our baby in May. I'd be happy to help with whatever I can.
