Springs

I have the original mono leaf springs in the car, but they are tired and I want to change them. Should I stick with the mono leaf, or go multi? When I pile the family in to go to a show, I get major tire rub right now so I want to stiffen her up a bit.

Any thoughts?

Also if mutli....4 leaf or 5????

i would go for 5 leafs, my car holds all six of us and i have 6 leafs to do the job, but i am removing one to soften it up a little.

Go to eatonsprings.com and read the info in their tech section about mono vs. multi leafs. They are THE EXPERTS

I went to multi's on my 72. Really made the back feel better.

I went multi's as well.
If you aren't running a traction device, multi leafs are more resistant to spring wrap (axle hop!).

More often that not, I'd recommend multi's for a mostly street car.

I used 73 hatchback springs. Made world of difference.

I got 5 leafs from J&W Nova for about $100. Seem pretty good to me.
