okay now questions:D.... what is common of all rally novas? I already know:

black painted grill
the stripes
the trim-ringless wheels
rally nova decal on the hood


.... anything else?

i like the idea being a 4 door lover myself i think the more cool 4 doors there are running around might inspire some to stop stripping and crushing them:rolleyes: we can only hope.

only thing is I dont know where to find the correct wheels....:( (maybe i can propose a trade to gfercaks33:D... his for mine:D) I mean sure I can paint the grille and headlight bezels black and the stripes and decals arent hard to come by but the wheels!!!

there some here in the junkyard like the bottom ones but black and silver with trim rings. (i think on a pontiac)
they appear to be in good condition so i wonder if there worth anything cause they could probably be had for 40 bucks for all of em. with the tires on em (if still there)

for now I would like to know which are correct for '69 RS novas... which is wierd because four door isnt correct at all!:D but I want it to be a accurate as possible without going two-door... but hey! if the bottoms are correct there we go!:)

I guess it is just that I havent seen the likes of those wheels until I saw gfercaks33's 73... There is not one car in El Paso or now in Abilene that has those wheels...

yeah and a white four door I was gonna use for the repairs... I really want my first car back in action:( I miss it... and why not give it some style!:D but for now it is reasearch and development stage;) as soon as winter break is over I have plans to get off my butt and get a job... I just didnt want to work for a month and have to leave for a month if you know what I mean...;)

thank you... you dont know which one of those rally wheels were correct for '69 do you?:D no-one has answered the are they right question:D although I do appreciate the offers to get them if they are correct:)

John, there is no 71-71 rally Nova information there. It covers the later model Nova Rally.

1968 thru 1971 = optional package: there is no way to verify an SS these years without some original paperwork. In-dash tachs, floor consoles/shifters, console gauges, bucket seats and even 12-bolt rears are NOT indications of a real SS. There were real Super Sport Novas built with the standard dash, column shifters, bench seats and 10-bolt rears. However, you can guess at it's originality. First, all 1968 Super Sports have finned front drum brakes (standard Novas have non-finned drums), and all 1969-71 Super Sports have power front disc brakes. The next thing to check is the engine code. If the engine is original (the last 6 digits of the VIN are stamped on the engine block) and it has a application code (also stamped on the block) that decodes to an SS only engine, then you have a real SS. Without the original engine or some original paperwork, you're basically out of luck.

I always thought Rally Novas were from 71 and up. :confused:

Actually, RS started in 1968 on CAMAROS. There has never, ever, ever been a RS Nova. There are Rally Novas, from the early 70's, and Nova Rallys from the late 70's, but NO RS Novas!:mad::mad:

Super Sport was used on several models, but Rally Sport was only used on Camaros.
