Hello!
I'm new to the forum....just bought a 73 Nova Custom with a 307 and turbo 350 trans. I'm pretty sure the ride height is stock in the front...maybe slightly lowered if anything. Rear has multi-leaf springs and air shocks.
Eventually, once the funds are available, I'll be upgrading to a 350, 383, or something larger.
However, I'd like to drive the car in the meantime. The exhaust system is in need of some work. I figure I'll go with either the Jegs or Summit header-back exhaust system....can anyone recommend a good (relatively cheap) header? Whatever is on there now (long tube) sits really low and was hit pretty bad.
Also...I assume the header/manifold bolt pattern is the same for a 307 as a 350??
Thanks for any replies!

summit sells a kit with headers and full exhaust with mufflers all the way back for under 300. (forgot actual price.)
and it looks like a great deal by the time you factor in the cost of the headers, mufflers, and pipe. just a thought

i think thats the same price as summit (im to tired to look it up) so if jegs shipping is also free i guess either one would work great. and supers does sound good look at the summit exhaust thread. he put a vid. in it.

Awesome! thanks for the info.
Summit's kit looks similar...Summit also has the kit that exits before the rear wheels...might go with that so I don't have to deal with the over axle pipes.
I read some power steering boxes don't work out with some of these headers...anyone know anything about these cheap Jegs / Summit headers? I might be going with a 3-3.5 steering box soon from Ground Up.
Here's a pic of my 73...some of you may have seen it on ebay:

usually the header will have notes if steering boxes have fitment issues... oh and let me tell you... over the axle pipes can be full of install inconveniences:D the kit is super easy it just takes any temper besides a short one:D:D:D
