Problem with my headers and clutch release rod

The clutch releade rod is hitting my headers is there anyway to cut it so it wolnt hit or cut part of the z-bar so it doesnt hit the headers? Has anyone else had this problem???

How do I get it to not rub....I got ceramic coated headers so they would look nice for a while....I dont want to rub a hole in the header.

A Blazer I worked on had a big interference problem that required removing the arm from the Z bar and moving it an inch to clear the headers. Have you tried bending it slightly, it may be all you need.

Pics would help, but do you have the correct headers for your application and do you have the correct bell crank (correct name for the z-bar) for the 3rd gen?

I willl post some pics tomorrow. The Z-bar is origional to the car...but the car was origonally a 6cyl 3speed column shift car
