recently picked up a 69 nova. havnt had my hands on one in a while. hard to find out here.

what rears swap in directly? it has a 10 bolt rear with 3.08 gears.

the motor had been built but is running really rough. not sure of the cam specs. but i think the guy said it had 320 duration. dont know the lift. also "race" heads. dont know who there from. the compression is at 9.5 and its been bored 40 over so now its a 355. and a holley 670cfm carb. im going to be tuning the carn myself. (first timer) any tips would be great. like what jet size to start out. what amount of vacuum should i look for...

and the ignition is upgraded..accel. its hitting the fire wall when you punch it and causing misfires. im looking for a fully plug and play installation MSD set up. any suggestions???

lots of missing info, but as for rear if its a 8.5 10 bolt keep it. just change gears to a 3.55 and add a 10" tci street fighter converter with a shift kit to the trans if its an auto. as for the distributor just smack in the firewall with a dead blow hammer, no body will know! and get some polyurathane motor mounts. As for an intake use a air gap , vaccum should be 10 inches or higher and try your inital timing at 12-14 degrees thats about all i can say.

i know theres a lot of missing info. but im new to muscle cars... :)

how can i tell if its 8.5 rear?

its already got a shift kit and its a turbo 350.

and sorry....whats an air gap? carb. spacer?

i think the carb is to small. i have a holley 600 on my 1.3 liter rotary motor (thats what i normally build) so the 670 to me seems kinda small. when i ran it without the air cleaner. it seemed to run cleaner.

Welcome to steves!!Get a timing light to start. The carb is the right size for your car...a750 may be alittle big. Also An air gap is an edelbrock dual plane intake manifold.bm
