I need some help with my tag and vin codes on my 68.
VIN:113278W312650
Tag:
04B E
ST 68-11427 WRN 55633
TR 733 G-2
I posted another topic for my 75 Nova Custom in the 4th Gen Forum. Just so I can keep the answers straight between the two cars, Thanks.

The only thing I'm curious about, is how do you know exactly what engine used to be in it? It just tells you how many cylinders you had under the hood.

It just tells you how many cylinders you had under the hood.It was either the 230 or the 250.They were the only 2 offered. You will probably not ever know unless you find the build sheet(on top the gas tank or under the back seat)Why is this important to know?bm

actually the cowl say 14
1-Chevy 14-V8That does not matter...the vin always supersedes the cowl.bm

Almost all 68 Chevy II's had 11427 on the trim tag even when it was a 11327 car . The VIN is always correct so your car originally came with a 6 banger. Can you share some pictures with us ? 68's are great.
