Well as most of you probably know im changing my front end over to the 68-72 style. Well I really like the ss emblem and ss grille so im debating whether I should put them on since it is not a true ss.

Don't even think about it!!!!! You can't go makin' your non-SS car look like it's an SS!! That is fraud!!!!:rolleyes::D:D

OK, kidding aside, you're going to switch the front end to the much better looking :D 68-72 style, so, why are you worried about making the grille look the way you like also????

Just do it!;)

If you like it,do it!

I would only frown if you tried to pass it off as a real one for profit!

We all seem to have our own opinion of what we like, and it's the excepted diversity that makes this site so good!

What's there to think about?

Do it!

Make some car perfectionist crazy!

And if he says
"Thats the wrong front end on that car!"
Your answer
" Yea, I took it off my grandfather BBC Nova after I hit a pole, my car has a better stereo so i just took the front end"
And walk off!

OOOOOOOOOOOO, :cool::cool::cool::awkward::awkward::cool::cool:

Take a peek at my Avitar, GM did make a 406, and only in 1968, with an original a 6 cylinder standard. I have the fender emblems to prove it.

I have a lot of fun with them at car shows:D.

So, if you want it to be an SS, let it be written, let it be done.

Bought a new non-SS Hatchback in March 74, drove it home from the dealer and cloned it an SS that night.

No shame here. Go for it.

In my opinion, if you don't have the SS emblem, leave the grill chrome.

hmm.... maybe people should try cloning new cars as an SS.... they are practically the same on the outside:rolleyes:

In my opinion, the black grill looks good with or without the SS. ;)
