Hello Guys,Im thinking about buying a 73 nova 2-dr v-8 car.whats a fair ballpark price range on these cars?it was originally a arizona car up untill 2004 according to the owner.it has ps,pb,air(but it dont work,or is it hooked-up)350motor/350trans,vinal top,10bolt,etc.it has been painted orange,i havent seen it in person but he said it needs a trunk pan(which i dont think they make for this year???)it looks like it has solid floors and such.almost 110,000miles, motor has never been apart, but runs good.what do ya'll think?oh by the way,he wants 3800.thanks.

No...no they don't. No they aren't.
The fuel filler in '73/74 is not in the same location. The trunk pans available are for 68-72.
A donor car or a fair amount of tweaking with an earlier 3rd gen replacement panel are your choices (as far as I know).
Value...
$3,800 is an average price for a driver.
If it looks good a 20 feet, has decent interior, and runs/drives with no real flaws, I don't think you'd be getting an alright deal. It's extremely difficult to put a price on a car without seeing it, though.
Stance, wheels, color choice and paint quality, trim, bumper quality, rust, interior color...it all affects value.

Ditto the 3-4 range for a decent driver......and without knowing what it even looks like its a tough call.
I could tell you my 73 Was a running/driving 350 4speed car, Buckets, Hurst Shifter,
with the Hatchback option. And I paid 699.00 bucks for it.
But it came in rough. Real rough.

yeah i know the trunk pans are not the same as a 68 to 72 i just wasnt 100% sure if aftermarket repopped them yet.it does look like a 4th gen might work, they look similar.actually the car was for sale in here, but i dont know if it still is.now its on ebay.its about 3.5 to 4hours away,so going to buy it wouldnt require to bad of a drive.just wanted to check with you guys before i made a ****$ mistake.

its still on this site.sept.23rd under 68chevyii76 check it out, theirs a couple pics.ps dont buy it out from under me.lol...
From what I can see, and what the description says...it would have my attention for $3,800. If it runs well, and looks as good as the pix/description says...go for it!

oh yeah,i forgot to add that the owner told me the car was wrecked in the front before, and it had the hood, grill, bumper, and l/s fender replaced before.which would explain why it doesnt have a nova emblem on that side.it also had some mud in the 1/4s.im sure that would hurt the value.hopefully it didnt damage the frame.makes no differance though,i guess he sold it,oh well.hopefully the new buyer is smart enough to see!?

I've bought mine 3 years ago. It was a good driver, with ps, pb, floor shifter, th350, 350 engine. It's an ss. But these years, an ss was nut so meaningfull!! (stripes, steering wheel). And I've paid 4000$ canadian. The paint needs to be redone, and the upholstery! I think I made a great deal, because here in Québec, we don't see much 73-74 novas. So if it runs great, I think it should be a great deal!
