My wife is from Alaska and has raced her car up there since she was in high school. She moved down here about 15 years ago. She still keeps in touch with many of the racers up there...some with Novas and takes her car up to race once in a while.

A few years ago there was a Mini-Nationals there a few years ago. They had several Novas there.

Mike, Thanks for the pic! Where was it taken? We visited the drag strip in Palmer, AK when I last visited. A very fun afternoon.

He has an '88 Nova:eek::o. Does that count?

Novavetteguy,
Greetings from North Pole Alaska! I have a 70 nova also! Baically I'm reliving my youth. There are several Novas in the North Pole Fairbanks area and there are numerous other muscle cars in the area. Most are real muscle cars, you know, CHEVY's, a lot of Chevelles old pickups, etc...........

ak70nova,
Where do you live? I live in Juneau. My car is a 72 SS skyroof. Living in S.E. is hard. Rain, rain, rain, but we do get our 10 days of summer! There's nothing like having the skyroof open on a hot summer day in southeast Ak.Open the wing windows, the bottom vents, reminds me of highway 101 along the coast of Oregon. I was trying to figure out from your picture where your at, Petersburg? POW? anyway hello fellow panhandler.
cheers,Wayne
