Anybody running a TCI or Hiedt's with a BBC? I'm sure there are a few on here. My question is, did you or did you not get the drop spindles? Why? My front wheel opening is 23 3/4" high right now.
( with skinny front tires and a 6 cyl ) And I like it there. Any recommendations?

What your definition of "in the weeds"? Really want to buy a heidts clip -TODAY!! What headers are you using?

I used the adjustable coil over option so I can move it up and down . My ride height is close to tock even with 15 " wheels.
as for headers I used hooker fenderwell headers but I moved a couple tubes around on the passendger side. Unless you can weld go a different wrout with inside the frame rail headers .

My 67 has home built mustang II front suspendion with iron head big block.
Bought this car as a roller this spring and getting the bugs worked out.
Front end is too low, would like to raise up about 2.5 inches to get car level. Has big tubs and 14x31 slicks, ford 9 inch, ladder bar and coil overs. So the whole car is pretty low.
With the existing mustang II springs. I have tested them in a spring compressor and they are 315 pound/inch and 12.5 inches long and compress down to 7.5 inches.
In order to get front end up 2.5 inches need a compressed spring height of about 9 inches. This is determined by jacking up the front end to the desired height and then measuring the spring length at that point.
Turns out that the heavy duty v8 with a/c mustang II springs have a spring rating of 425 pounds/inch, so for this 13 inch spring compressed to 9 inches should work out pretty well.
Springs are on order and will install either this weekend or early next week depending when they arrive. Will advise on how well this works or does not work.
I decided to stick with the standard spring setup because the car came with QA1 adjustable shocks on the front already.
Coil over setup with QA1 shocks is quite pricey but does offer the advantage a making adjustments.

I'm running a Chassisworks clip, big block etc., with 2" dropped spindles and it sits good but even lower would be better, so I'm most likely going to put some air ride on it so I can drop it in the weeds when I want.

Running a heidts front , big block chev , std spindles. I also got the adjustable front shocks, unit sits pretty good to me. Went with leamons headers (pricey but sweet ;) ) . I think if you get an adjustable shock set up it can give you alittle (not much though) adjustment up or down. Feel free to email any ?s louier@centurytel.net Louie

Thanks for all the input! I ended up ordering the kit and got the dropped spindles. But now I'm wondering about my headers. I got a set of Hooker fenderwells that were used and have been "massaged" to fit already. But a lot of guys on here have not had too many good things to say about the fit of these headers. There is no way I can afford to go out and spend $600-$700 on headers! So, I hope these Hookers work! (now I sound like a pimp:D) Hey, one more thing. The Hookers are powder coated black, but look like s%$t because of the "massaging". I have heard all the horror stories of wrapping headers, (they hold heat, the make headers rust, etc, etc.) but what about wrapping powder coated headers??? I'll go ask this in the Drivetrain section too.

...that's a NO on the wrapping. I would avoid fenderwell headers myself...been there, done that. I ran into too many tire clearance issues and exhaust connection issues.
