Other than how they are bent, are there any differences in the brake line fittings between manual drum brake lines and power disk brake lines on a 71?
I'm installing CPPs disk brake kit and the disk brake lines look like they will line up to the new proportioning valve better than the drum brake lines. I know my old lines will connect to the new valve, but require significant bending to get there.

Bump! I really need some input on this before I purchase the lines.

I used my old brake lines on my 71 when I went to power disc brakes. They work fine and fit well.

I bought new lines when I did my 72. They seemed to end in different places. Went to a junkyard and got the mounting hardware. Pics here. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/1076032371043465303AwfKIt Sounds like the old lines will work, too.;)

Which set did your buy, drum or disk lines? My manual drum lines have the brackets in your pic. Sounds like I should stay with manual drum lines and just bend them some. The assembly manual showed the power disk lines ending closer to where the new proportioning valve will be.

Mine looks different. I just ran out and took some pics for ya. When I put the brakes on I used the old lines. I had to put a new rear brake line when I put my rear in and I ordered one for disc brakes.

The actual fitting themselves are industry standard. No difference. The fittings on my Roadrunner are the same as the ones on my Novas.

Thanks for the pics. That is the way mine is setup. I didn't realize all the fittings are the same.
