Put the front end on jackstands, remove the front tires and shocks, leave the coil springs in place. I like to just loosen the castle nuts most of the way off, use the pickle fork, good size shop hammer (BFH) and give her hell. The coil spring will assist by having several hundred pounds of pressure pushing the pieces apart. They will pop loose, but by keeping the nuts on by several turns everything stays together. Once you get them broken loose then use your spring compressor to compress the coil spring and then take the castle nuts off and the arms off.

Probably the key piece here!

Sometimes they take quite a bit of persuasion to break loose, but they will come.

Do a search here on the forum....removing control arms/coil springs/control arm bushings has been discussed in great details several times.
