Could someone give me a heads up please :) on the total length of a Master cylinder pushrod for Manual brakes on a'70?
The current one I have has been cut short for a PB Master cylinder and is to short, I am panicking that it may fall out of the hole if it withdraws to much..

cheers

Do not run a shalow bore mastercylinder on a manual brake. The push rod CAN fall out leaving you no brakes. All manual cars need to use a deep bore mastercylinder. Check out this link for a cut away view of the mastercylinder bore.

Thank's for that Danny, I downloaded that PDF a few months ago :) But it doesn't help :( I still need to know what length the manual brake pushrod is so I can fab one up.

cheers

Jim, a three-piece adjustable pushrod is available (from SSB for instance) or you can make your own. This way you can adjust it accordingly.
