How do you remove the glovebox lock cylinder ('73)? I assume you put in the key, turn it all the way clockwise, release something and pull it out. I can't find what to release. Or do I have it all wrong/

Hey Dave,

take a look-see in the "Originality Forum"... there you'll find a thread "the Web-Link Library"... down towards the bottom you'll see a link for the glove box lock removal/install procedure ;)

When you open the glove box door and it comes down there should be a little metal pin that's spring loaded. You push that in and the lock assembly will come out. I forget if you have to twist the key at all. Been a year since I did mine.

Didn't know about this site then. Took a while to figure out :o

Yep, that's the one. Glovebox lock is now tight and works like it should. Thanks much!
