I found a crash video on youtube of a pro touring silver nova.
I would like to see more pics of the car for reference. does anyone know who he is?

Muscleride posted the video...

Been posted before (not too long ago, either).
I don't think anyhere here owns it (or at least, no one fessed up to it).

It doesn't look like he has much experience either with autocrossing, or driving a car with that much power (or both).

At first seems to be slowing down early and too much just before turns, being very heavy footed, and over-all just not very fluid with his manuevers in the first run(s).

Then he gets a little over-confident and is driving beyond his abilities. You can tell he's pushing the car a lot harder in the run he crashes in... It looks like he over-accelerates on the straight away just before crashing, then panics and locks it up skidding right into the wall.

Watching the video over and over it sounds like he grabs the next gear when he probably should've just let it ride at that point--instead of WOT again.

Just before the brakes lock up you hear him rev it up and drop a gear. He probably realized at that point he was going too fast, downshifted, then panic'd and locked it up...

I'm pretty sure he could've saved it if he would've got the rear end loose and swung it wide...he didn't hit the barrier going all that fast, but he had it locked up and couldn't turn.
Sometimes using the throttle is just a better option.

I just hope it was his car, and not daddies!

HE works At DetroitSpeed he was fishing for parts a few months back. Sometimes you have to find your and your cars limit then tone it back. If you never find the edge your too slow.

Yeah, I posted that vid last month. It caught my eye as it looked like my car. Different rims than mine, but looks similar to it.

Never thought about auto-X with my Nova. I just dust off my other toy (71 240z) when I feel like doing that :)
